2009 | Modular playground system

Genuine modular playground equipment, framework and add-ons. The development process was centered at the meaning of the activity rather than the instrument - focussed on the act of climbing and not on the ladder itself. This approach led us to inspiring innovations, along a profound inspiration from the iconic igloo construction.

The act of playing as an open-ended concept opened new avenues to new experiences and expanded the age range of the children willing to play.

As part of the development process we designed new systematic aluminum connectors for different purposes, from constructional to extensional (such as connecting ropes and boards). The connectors enabled vast modularity, easy installation and ease of transport. The particular connectors are also used in the PISA series.
