2001 | Playground for children with hearing impairments
MICHA Center is a multidisciplinary center which meets the therapeutic and educational needs of children with hearing loss from birth to first grade. The playground is situated in Jerusalem.
The playground was designed under unique specifications adapting it to the children's needs and their therapeutic process. The development process delivered singular solutions, focusing on playing activities that engage sound and vibrations, such as:
Raised Deck Floor - enables interaction between the children and their teacher through knocking and vibrations.
Balance Devices - for exercising their balance skills through playing.
Sound Agents - Devices producing sound for hearing remains conservation.
Non Friction Slide - the roller conveyors slide is designed to reduce the static electricity produced in standart slides that damages their hearing aids.
Life Skills House - a more generic playground equipment to help the children feel more like the rest...
The Project was designed and raised with the designer Eyal Vogel
